Please test this in a modern version, such as 1.21.4+, to confirm modern relevance of this behavior, on Paper, not a fork.
the prblem is inherently the 1.20.6 behavior.NOT 1.21.4 behavior

the error shows in console, but it does output recipe on 1.20.4 (paper)
