Mushroom block not updating properly

Mushroom do not have proper block updates. This means a mushroom block will not update when another mushroom block is placed adjacent to it. This causes some issues with redstone that is designed to detect mushroom block updates. In the image attached, the left row of mushroom blocks doesn't update but the right row of mushroom blocks updates. Where the intended outcome should be both rows updating.

If you are using some plugins that can create custom blocks, they may control the state updating of mushroom blocks because they modify the textures of specified states of mushroom blocks, to realize the custom block feature.

MM itself doesn't contain features like custom blocks and I think it shouldn't affect the update of mushroom blocks. Did you tried to test this on a server with only MM installed, and be certain that this is cause by MM?
